If there is one thing I have learned over the past few months it is to live life to the fullest. Use the words "I Love You" more. Take risks. I know sometimes I'm going to fail, but by failing you learn. Take chances, because sometimes you might discover something amazing. Make new friends, rekindle old friendships and strengthen your current friehdships. Holding grudges doesn't do anyone any good. I know that I am a lot of talk and only a little action. But in the next few months I hope to take a little more of my advice and maybe even take a few risks I wouldn't normally take!!

Welcome 2011
Well, like many bloggers have the past couple days have I'm about to blog about the end of a year that was full of the highest highs and the lowest lows. I don't like being negative so I will not bring out the bad. So I'd love to highlight the top 5 moments of Stephanie Dautel's 2010:
1. My first trip to New York. I've dreamed about going to New York my whole life. And My trip to New York not only reached all of my expectations but it far exceeded anything I have ever dreamt it would be. I loved everything about the city, the trip, and most importantly the loving, kind thoughtful family that took me there. I can't think of anyone better to have gone to New York with. Thank you John, Donna and Alexis.
2. I graduated from college. After four long years and a lifetime of thinking about that moment, I finally did it. I graduated with a degree in Communications from BYU. Honestly, it's so weird to be done.
3. I went on an Alaskan cruise with the most amazing family. This was my first cruise and it was amazing. Alaska is truely beautiful and I got to spend the time with my family!
4. Friendships. I have developed and strengthened so many eternal friendships this year. I can't imagine and don't want to imagine what my life would be like without my friends. I was able to see my best friend leave on a mission, I was able to attend the wedding of another one of my best friends in Nauvoo.5. I got called to serve in Young Womens in my ward. This is a calling I at times feel completely inadequate to hold. I have so much to learn and I learn something new each day. I love each and every one of the Young Women in the Draper 7th ward and I can't wait to continue to get to know each of you.

This all being said there are many events that happened in 2010 that I will cherish forever but these are some hilights. I will truely miss my grandparents who have died this year but I'm glad they can be together. I also miss my friends on missions. Especially Janelle. But i know without a doubt that they are doing what they are supposed to and I"m grateful for their sacrifice.
My Best Friend Janelle, She is serving a mission in Chile. I miss her like CrazyI look forward to a bright new year. A year full of goals that I want to reach. A year full of love, friendships and family. New adventures and hopefully some old. I hope that I will have opportunities to travel some more and discover new things about myself, others and the world.
TO NEW BEGINNINGS...
HELLO 2011!!!!!

My heart is full because of the kindness of those who surround me. Friday started with lunch with one of my most favorite people. I've developed a special bond with her. You know those people you know you knew before we came here... I know she's one of those. I'm grateful for her love, kindness and senese of humor. Thank you Wendy.
Then I had been debating whether or not to go to the work Christmas party on Friday, I decided to stay and I'm glad I did. I had some time after work, and before the party so I helped them finish set up. It was nice to meet the spouses and children of those I work with, as well as catch up with some friends. I happen to work with some incredible people.
Today, is my Grandma Dautel's birthday. Each moment with her these last few weeks has become much more meaningful since we know her days are limited (she probably won't live much more than two or three weeks). As I was sitting at her house today, just looking at her enjoy the little pleasures in life (her birthday cake, listening to music and her family). I realized that you never regret the time you spend with family and friends. I want to make every moment I live as meaningful as possible.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA! I LOVE YOU!

My dad's family at my Grandpa Dautel's funeral in October. My grandma is in the middle.

G is for Gratitude
Since this week is Thanksgiving, I feel that it is only appropriate to be grateful. Not just for the big things, but for the little things too.
I'm grateful for:
I'm grateful for:
- For being able to listen to someone who needs to talk, (and for someone listening when I need to talk)
- For phonecalls from your friend when you are having a bad day (even when they don't know you are having a bad day)
- When Olivia says my name
- When a song comes on the radio that you haven't heard for awhile
- My friends on missions
- My young women
This list is endless. But I won't list them all. Thank you family and friends. I love you all!

New York
We stayed right in the middle of Times Square and had the BEST view from our room. We went to the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Central Park, World Trade Center Site, Serendipity, Del Fresco, and many other places.
We saw "Memphis" on broadway and it was incredible. If you haven't heard of it, I recommend you look it up. I downloaded the music and have been listening to it ever since. We also drove up into Connecticut and walked around at Yale.
I want to publicly thank John and Donna for taking me to New York and for all of the many other things they have done for me (I can't list them all because there are too many). And I most of all want to thank them for being my friends. I Love you.

Recently...
So I have slacked off on blogging. So I'll do a quick update. (And for those of you who have done profiles for me I have not forgotten about you and I'll continue to do that again soon, my friends have much more intersting lives than I do)
Anyways, I can tel lthat summer is officially overwith because it's starting to get cold and the leaves are changing. I need to go for a drive up in the canyon. I love looking at the leaves in the fall. I wish Janelle was here because we would always go for drives up the canyon while jamming to Trevor Hall. Miss that girl :)
I've recently discoverd my deep love for watching movies (I dont' know why it took me so long to realize this) But I LOVE watching movies and have been watching between 2 and 3 every week. Maybe I'll start making a favorites movie list.
and the biggest news of all: I'm going to New York for the first time on Wednesday. So I'll be sure to blog (with pictures) immediately after the most amazing trip ever. Until then, Have a great week!
Love,
Steph
